Doodlebug, a short film by the acclaimed director Christopher Nolan, is one of the earlier attempts he has made in this medium. Nolan wrote, directed, co-produced, photographed and edited the film. The film with its surreal elements and mood imparts a Kafkaesque effect upon the viewers.

 

The grainy black and white tone and the bright disturbing lights further add to the mood of the narrative. The ratty man in the film was enacted by Jeremy Theobald who later starred in Nolan’s debut feature film Following (1989).
